What Travelling Means To Me Away from the bustling life in the city, between checking my phone and my emails for new and interesting messages, and being pushed to “fight” and “succeed” in the race, I find that I can relax and philosophize. Travelling has been an educating experience to me and has taught me the complex equations of worldly affairs in a way that no school, no job ever did before. Call me crazy, but every time I think of my time as a traveller, I realise, this lifestyle of uninterrupted travel has helped me become a better person. While traveling, it’s common to have long train rides and repeated bus journeys that leave you just enough time to just sit back, stare out the window, and reflect. And this has helped me learn new and interesting things about the country I live in, in a way that I realise wouldn’t have taken hold in me, if I hadn’t experienced them living in the moment. Yet every time, upon my return, when I sit back to give my journey and its linear events a set of words I find myself struggling with the generalities and often validating the concept that it’s sometimes not the physical settings or the cultural shocks that make different places unique, it's the perspective by which we, in the moment, perhaps look at them.
