The Lake Palace A place so beautiful and romantic, even James Bond couldn't resist. The Lake Palace is like a mirage rising out steeply from the waters of Lake Pichola in Udaipur, India. An architectural wonder which has placed Udaipur on the map, the palace was built in 1754, as the royal summer residence of Maharaja Jagat Singh II.
